earliest pre-Islamic Arabic script identified at Bir Hima in Saudi Arabia

Pre-Islamic Arabic script dating to 469 or 470 identified at Bir Hima in Saudi Arabia. It’s associated with a seemingly Christian cross and the Kingdom of Himyar. Thawban son of Malik (named in the inscriptions) may have been a Christian martyred by the Himyarites.

It’s not exactly a safe place to be, considering the Saudis mucking around in the civil war in Yemen.
