I feel so wholesome i could cry

Colin Newman “I’ve Waited Ages” It’s so strange that so quickly, Wire went from from fully realized songs that would pass as fragments in any other hands to epics like “Map Ref. 41 Degrees North 93 Degrees West” (one of my very favoritest songs.) This song doesn’t quite soar like that one, but it drips with so many squiggles, screeches, and sarcastic one-liners that it’s another classic… ‘or words to that effect.’

Colin Newman “Alone” The funny thing is that i barely remember anything from the movie Silence of the Lambs. It surprised me to read that this song is featured in it. Yeah… kinda gothy.

Colin Newman “Life on Deck” When i first heard LCD Soundsystem’s “Movement” i thought that the intro was an odd homage to “Psychotic Reaction. I’m such a pleb. Now i’m convinced it’s an homage to this song. It’s a good thing i’m not a zealot and don’t get obsessed with religion, as i’d be on a different crusade every other day, trying to lop off heads over every new heresy i awake to.
