“Dreams” was inspired by the book ” Dictionary of the Khazars ” Milorad Pavic, and a subjective experience of the author of the literary work. Most elements of the book serve as a basis and are in a abstract way, making three parts to look completely different, and yet indivisible. Film consists of three parts as dictionary contains three books in it.
Each unit begins with quote from the book that introduces the viewer in the story and leads to the thought. Mr. Pavic’s ” Dictionary of the Khazars ” made reversible, and allow readers to work came upon the various parties.

    BELGRADE — Serbia’s renowned author and academic Milorad Pavi? died today in Belgrade at 13:10 CET from a heart attack.

    Pavi? – whose works were among the most translated Serbian contemporary literature – passed away aged 81.

    He made a name for himself as a novelist with Dictionary of the Khazars, first published 25 years ago.

    A expert in Serbian literature held in high esteem, Pavi? was a professor at the Faculty of Philosophy in Novi Sad until his retirement.

    He will be remembered as one of the best translators of Russian classics into Serbian, and as author of short stories, novels, dramas and essays.

    Prime Minister Mirko Cvetkovi? today sent his condolences to the family, and the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts (SANU).

    The details of Pavi?’s funeral are yet to be announced.
