10 Zen Monkeys has a doozy of a post regarding some some Mormons seriously propose that Bigfoot is Cain. The church itself isn’t making such a claim, but it was published in apparently independent publication, The Journal of Mormon History. That this claim was published at all makes me immensely happy.
I’m trying to remember whether i heard any of the conventional Christian evangelicals around here stating such a thing, as that seems right up their alley.

That is some crazy freewheeling theology!
It’s certainly more imaginative than looking at dinosaur fossils to say that they were dragons, the creations of Satan, drowned by God in the Flood. Or maybe i’m just bored with that one.
