Doctorow’s post on the new Lethem book did little to convince me. Maybe if someone read it to me in high-pitched cartoon voices, like if Lethem read the whole thing while sucking helium, i’d enjoy it, but i’d wager against it.
I don’t think this book is stiff like early Talking Heads. It’s stiff like late XTC. This is a bad thing.
