(I’m not really in the mood for this, but i lost this album for ages, right after Damien burned it for me, so i’m quite happy to find it again. Lou cleaned my closet, and quite a few albums i stopped trying to dig up have surfaced.)
It’s a fey, folky style, bridging the gap between baroque pop and British folk pop. Richard Goldstein of the Village Voice called it “Pre-Raphaelite Rock,” and that works better than anything that i could try to conjure up this morning.
