the Grifters “Covered in Flies” Not the greatest song ever and not even one of the better Grifters songs… only because if i think of flies and the ’90s, a certain other alt-rock band i’d rather forget comes to mind. Thus the song immediately gets docked for several demerits… but that one line… brilliant! It seems like a Seattle parody song. Maybe i ought to forget my whole irrational thing about ’90s and flies, and choose to believe it was an in-joke.
