7,000 year old dwelling mound discovered in Oberröblingen, Germany

This oval-shaped mound is the first one to be discovered in Germany. It was discovered during highway construction, and the archaeologists seem to be working against the clock before construction begins again.

Martian polar ice could cover entire planet if melted

to the depth of 33 feet at least. That seems a respectable amount of water, certainyl enough for a Martian ocean.

So how much water would cover the entire earth if all of the polar ice was melted? I really ought to look that up, even though we might find out the answer firsthand soon enough.

The Cassini probe has produced radar readings that suggest that Titan seems to have seas of hydrocarbon at its poles.

early modern humans developed more complex social behavior than previously believed

The study of a 160,000 year old skeleton of a child found in Morocco has revealed in its growth rates that human children had already developed the pattern of a long childhood, with a slow period of development. In order for children to adopt this pattern, the humans of that time must have had similiar social behaviors to more modern humans.

Not to be snotty, but i don’t see much of a surprise in this.
