Fighting Against Making the Pie Higher 10/2/00

Still recovering from a mild flu, and feel like garbage. I thought that going outside to watch the sky for awhile would be a good idea, but it seems that it only aggravated my allergies, so now i feel even worse.

i hate Larry King Live. It’s a pathetic joke, and doesn’t do anything other than provide fodder for shows like Saturday Night Live. Second, tonight King is supposed to be talking to the third party candidates, and getting top billing is Pat Buchanan. Buchanan is not a real candidate. He is a hatchetman from the Republican party out to wreck any infrastructure that the Reform party had left.

Second, Paul McCartney is the progenitor to Guided by Voices. Damien proved this to me a few years ago, but i put on “McCartney” and “Ram” back to back with “Bee Thousand” and “Alien Lanes”… and once again, it is gospel truth, and i gotta amen it.

third, i was invited to join a webring, oddly enough, for Robyn Hitchcock, called Globe of Frogs, i think. I’m thrilled to be invited to join, but the other sites in the ring, are much more relevant for Robyn Hitchcock fans than i could ever be. Am hoping to do something to live up to the honor, but when do i follow through on anything?

Managed to read a couple of chapters of The Coming Plague tonight, but it’s not a good idea to read such a book when you are feeling rundown. At every moment, i felt like my immune system was completely compromised, and at any moment, I would start sweatign blood from my pores, and that my skin would tear open like a rotten peach.
