Hunter used prowl the streets of New Orleans back in the late seventies early eighties, I know ’cause I spoke to him…very illusive, ethereal, nebulous sort of cat, couldn’t pin him down on anything…maybe it was just that night or maybe it was just me????

I woke up yesterday morning to find this news clip on the CNN website and it made me cry. Thompson really was a talented individual and someone who really made me think. His book about the 1972 campaign trail was good stuff.
